The primary purpose of this website is make the content from AP Human Geography easier to find and understand for my students.  The goal is that by making the content easier to obtain, more time and effort will be put towards engaging with the content, thus increasing students’ ability to succeed in the course and on the AP HUG exam.

You can explore the content of AP Human Geography on this site through 3 broad categories:

  1. Units: Browse content according to units of study.  Units are identified by topic rather than number.  The most important information you will find on this page (and perhaps this entire website) are the friendly-formatted summary of the detailed AP Human Geography course outline as found on the AP College Board website.  The College Board provides a clear outline for the AP HUG course.  However, they do not provide students with an easy-access document that includes a detailed summary of what each point of the outline entails.  In my experience, it is as important to constantly refer to this outline as it is to utilize any type of textbook, as it enables teachers and students to stay focused on the exact information that is under the purview of the AP HUG exam.
  2. Vocabulary: AP Human Geography covers a dizzying amount of vocabulary.  Moreover, most of these terms are very specific and are not familiar to students.  On this page you will find a detailed summary of AP HUG vocabulary, organized according to topic.
